Meet up with Novac

Got a call from our tiler yesterday, he asked me to meet him this morning at 6:30 am. Basically he only needs a confirmation from the owner that the tiles are all correct as per the contract and/or variation document. Novac told me the tiles should all be completed within three to four days.

Took some picture while I was on site with him this morning.

Pre-completion stage

On Friday 19th of June 2015, I could see that the plaster has started to be done and downpipes have been properly connected to the drainage. Internal paint has almost done.

Went back to see the house again the next day and I could see that the stone benchtops have been installed in the kitchen and also in the bathrooms, entry doors have also been painted for the first layer, and data points have been installed.

The Fixing stage

Another important stage - the Fixing Stage. This morning I met our SS who showed me the progress of the construction. It is really looking good so far.  Skirting boards, architraves, internal doors, cabinets to the kitchen, ensuite, bathroom have been installed. The bench top would be installed in the afternoon according to the schedule. Tiles will be next week. 

Looks like it will be another month before the settlement. Can't wait...

Lock-up stage

We have now reached the next milestone; the Lock-up Stage. All brick works have now been completed. This morning when I was on site, someone was about to start cleaning the bricks. 

The great thing about our new home is I won't have to go too far away to take sunrise pictures as it is just literally in front of our home. 

                                

Brick laying (Day 11)

Yay!! The brick work is almost complete. I can say it is 95% complete and it's looking good. Our SS told us that next week they will start painting after all the fixtures are done.
